We absolutely loved our resort. They had everything you could ever dream of. Highly recommend Lopesan Costa Bavaro. The resort has many pools, beach access, plenty of food/restaurant choices, spa, and even a waterpark. Not only did we fall in love with the resort, but also the amazing staff.
We ventured out for 2 excursions. Our first was with Quetzal Excursions. They picked us up from our resort and we drove to Bayahibe to board our Catamaran. We did a private charter to celebrate my ‘father-in-love’s’ birthday! The crew was welcoming and made our experience so memorable. We enjoyed endless drinks, fresh cut fruit, sandwiches and snacks on our sail to Catuano. We jumped off the sailing platform for snorkeling once we arrived to Catuano.
Once back on the sailboat, we made our way to Saona Island. This is truly the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. A speedboat picked us up from our catamaran and had us to shore in exactly 2.2 seconds. Once our feet touched ground, there was the cutest donkey and cart waiting to guide our way through the palm tree forest. On the other end of the palm tree forest was the whitest sand and clearest water you’ve ever seen. In case that wasn’t enough, there was a restaurant serving local food and pineapple pina coladas. There were also plenty of chairs and umbrellas to lounge in, as well.
